Patrick Sprague joined Fisher & LaMonica in 2018. Mr. Sprague focuses his efforts on personal injury and medical malpractice claims, representing only the rights of those injured by the negligent or wrongful conduct of another. Prior to joining Fisher & LaMonica, Patrick worked as a trial attorney for nearly six years at one of Chicago's largest insurance defense firms. During his time on the defense bar, Patrick gained invaluable experience and insight that he utilizes to advocate for his clients today. He brings a unique understanding of what happens with your claim on the "other" side of the table.
Patrick is highly experience in each phase of litigation, and he has tried numerous cases to verdict before juries in Cook County. Patrick takes tremendous pride in the fact that his trials have been published in the Jury Verdict Reporter every year of his career. Patrick's familiarity with the defenses and tactics used by insurance companies provide him with a strategic advantage that very few other lawyers in Chicago possess.
Patrick received his bachelor's degree at Eastern Illinois University before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Valparaiso University School of Law. In 2014, Patrick was trained at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Boulder, Colorado. During that experience, Patrick sharpened his trial advocacy skills and learned from judges all over the country, including one from the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Patrick also holds two of the most prestigious certification in the insurance/risk management industry - Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) & Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Each one of these experiences make Patrick a well-round, experience attorney who is a vigorous advocate for his clients.
Patrick is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, where he was previously selected to sit on the Judicial Evaluation Committee. He also volunteers at the Big Shoulders Fund, and at Maternity BVM, a low income Catholic school on Chicago's west side.
In his free time, Patrick loves spending time with his wife (Jacqueline), watching the Chicago Cubs, and playing golf.
